Will my photo stay private?

Your photo is used for this one restoration and then deleted, together with the result. There is no gallery, and nothing is used to train anything. The privacy page has the details.

What does this tool do?

Restore an old photo takes a scan or a phone picture of a print — creased, torn, faded, spotted — and returns a clean, sharp copy. Scratches, dust and stains are removed; creases, small tears and lost corners are mended; faded colour is corrected. It works on black-and-white and sepia prints, faded colour photos and studio portraits from any decade, one photo at a time.

Will the faces stay the same?

Light damage is cleaned without redrawing anything. Heavy damage — tears, missing parts — is rebuilt inside the original framing. Compare before and after with the handle; a sharper scan gives the repair more to work with.

Can I keep it black and white?

Yes — always. The tool repairs the damage and keeps the original tone: black and white stays black and white, sepia stays sepia. Faded colour prints get their colour corrected, not invented.

How large is the result?

Up to 4000 px on the long edge, as a PNG. Smaller originals are enlarged on the way, but a small or blurry print will not gain detail it never had.
