What does this tool do?
The Unit converter handles eight categories — length, mass, temperature, volume, area, speed, time and data size — between metric and imperial units. Pick a category and two units, type a value, and swap the two with one tap.
Are the conversion factors accurate?
Each category uses SI base units and exact published factors — 1 inch is exactly 0.0254 m. For temperature, the offset between Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin is handled per unit.
US or UK gallons?
US customary by default for cups, pints and gallons. UK imperial pints and gallons are listed separately, so you pick the one you need.
KB or KiB?
Both: decimal (KB = 1,000 bytes) and binary (KiB = 1,024 bytes). Storage marketing tends to use decimal; operating systems often report binary.
